McDermott G Core 3/8 x 10 Gold Ring shafts are built for hardcore performance and a traditional feel. The carbon fiber extends for 7" from the beginning of the shaft to stabilize for front impact allowing for more control and reducing inconsistencies that are found in traditional maple shafts.
